PRELIM TASK: Finished Products & Cohesion

These are my final finished products for my college magazine 'HIGHLIGHT', which are the front/cover page, and the contents page. My magazine is aimed at GCSE students.

I think that the overall use of the space on the cover works well, as it doesn't appear to be too overcrowded, as all the writing is readable, however there is something that catches your eye at every glance. I think that there is strong cohesion between the two pages, due to the way that the shape of the graphics are on both pages, and then mimicked with the shape of the photos, page numbers, and the angle at which the feature lines are written. I think that it works well because it appeals to my target audience, as it is modern. I also used the same fonts, colours and  blending options, so that there would be familiarity between the two pages. I also decided to use another photo of my cover model, so that you would be able to see how the story and theme has been carried through.
