The
target group that I have the most access to is teenagers and young adults;
therefore I shall make my target audience teenagers and young adults aged
between 16 and 25. As I have a large access to people who are my age and are in
my target audience I can use this to my advantage to conduct fair and accurate
research. I will also use them so that I can get a better understanding of
which music magazines are most popular, and what encourages them to do so. For
my market research I will start by looking at the constructions of different
music magazines, and comparing the differences and similarities that they have,
which will enable me to see which elements are the most successful from them. I
will also do surveys on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, as they
have large access to my target audience.
For
my audience research, I will be conducting qualitative research which will
allow me to get responses that have more complex answers, which will help me
understand why people respond in certain ways, and I can use this to my
advantage to make my music magazine successful. This means I will get a large
variety of responses, which will be useful, but difficult to sort through and
decipher.
I
will also collect quantitative research which will allow me to compare
statistics that I will gather from research using a survey. The result of this
will be structured which will make it easier to make a conclusion about the
best aspects of.
Once
I have collected all of my research I will be able to ensure that I know the
most successful elements needed to make my music magazine successful.
